ISBS - LEADING BY EXAMPLE

07 November,2019

On the 53rd year of Botswana's Independence month, Imperial School of Business and Science (ISBS), embarked on further initiatives to give back to the community and its stakeholders. In its 16 years of existence in Botswana, ISBS offers Degrees, Diplomas, Certificate and Professional Qualifications in the accounting, finance, management and business related programmes. ISBS, a 100% citizen owned tertiary institution, is located in the Heart of the Capital Gaborone.

Espoused in its mission statement, ISBS is committed to "Being the preferred educational institution for lifelong partnerships through achieving services and academic excellence for the benefit of all its stakeholders" "Lifelong learning starts off at grassroots level at home, continues through primary and tertiary education, and thus transforms the workforce. Lifelong learning is the foundation for growth and sustainability through every stage of life." - Operations Director, Mr. Nidheesh Sharma. ISBS walks the talk. 10 years of dedicated support to SOS Children's Village and the multitude of visits annually to the Children Ward at the Princess Marina Hospital, Gaborone, are some of the beneficiaries of the Corporate Social Responsibility of ISBS. In its recent past, other beneficiaries have been added including numerous primary and secondary schools nationwide, some of which have been adopted and others have benefited through the support of ISBS. As a result students and staff members are highly motivated as well as better student base is provided for the society. ISBS focuses on lifelong learning at all stages.

21 primary and secondary schools have benefitted through ISBS's initiatives. This resonates the belief of the management of ISBS that contributes to the community by providing quality and affordable education to the nation. ISBS was the key sponsor in the prize giving ceremonies of 14 secondary schools nationwide this year with over 170 prizes awarded by ISBS. The hard work of the staff members and students of these schools did not go unnoticed. In fact these deserving students and staff members were awarded. The motivated beneficiary further improves productivity and delivers effectively, as she / he is recognized and facilitated. Moreover, ISBS management encouraged ISBS staff members along with ISBS students, who were graduates of these respective senior schools, to lead in these initiatives. This would allow ISBS students to also contribute to society. By this token of appreciation, ISBS would like to motivate other organisations to give back too. "If every person supports another person and every organisation supports another organization, this nation would surge ahead in every aspect and lead by example, and hence be a true icon of Ubuntu, "I am because we are.""- Mr. Sharma shared.
